Thiviyan is a Registered Social Worker and a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Waterloo, he went on to receive his Master of Social Work from Western University. Presently, he has been practicing as a mental health therapist for the past five years working with a wide variety of client populations at several different organizations.Thiviyan is passionate about sharing his wealth of counselling knowledge with clients to equip them with the strategies and techniques needed to manage challenging situations. He prides himself on his ability to break down abstract therapeutic concepts and explain them in a relatable way, using clever examples, metaphors, and activities. Thiviyan is also an open-minded and empathetic practitioner who has tremendous patience with his clients. He understands the significance of using a collaborative approach, as he works alongside his clients to shape their own journey in therapy.Thiviyan is a proud தமிழ் (Tamil) Canadian and children's book author. Outside of his work, he enjoys playing basketball and board games with friends.

The reader follows along as the main character describes their feelings, which gradually intensify over the course of the book, on a scale from 1 to 10. These books are designed for parents and caregivers to engage in dialogue with children about recognizing their emotions and communicating them with others effectively.

The protagonist, Kevin, is a young boy, who is afraid of a green hedgehog, which represents his fears.
